Ingredients of Chilman Biryani

  1. You need 2 1/2 cup of rice.
  2. It's 1 of chicken.
  3. It's 5-6 of onion.
  4. Prepare 7 of tomatoes.
  5. It's 1 cup of Yogurt.
  6. You need of Shan biryani masala 3 to 4 tsp if available.
  7. You need 3-4 of cloves.
  8. You need 2 of black cardamom.
  9. Prepare 1 of cinnamon stick.
  10. It's 5 of Green chillies.
  11. It's of Salt as required.
  12. Prepare 6 tsp of Vinegar.
  13. It's 1 tsp of Corriander seeds.

Chilman Biryani instructions

  1. Soak rice in water for half an hour.
  2. Get your ingredients ready for chicken curry.
  3. Add onions,tomatoes and garlic in pressure cooker with 1 glass of water.Cook in pressure cooker for 15 minutes.
  4. After 15 minutes onion and garlic are render.
  5. Add oil,ginger, green chilli,salt and corriander seeds,cinnamon stick,cardamom and cloves,vinegar.
  6. Cook until oil separates from curry,it takes 25 to 30 minutes.
  7. Now add yogurt and cook further 20 minutes, curry should be thick.
  8. Boil rice in water with salt and aniseed, Rice should be cooked but not too soft.
  9. Add 1 tsp of food colour mixed in 3 tsp of water.
  10. Layer rice,chicken curry and also fresh corriander,fried onion and lemon.
  11. After 3 equal layers,cover the top with puff pastry and brush egg and milk mixture.(1 egg and 2 tsp milk).
  12. Bake in oven for 20 min at 150 degrees or till puff pastry is brown..
